Confirm the bot is yours

Once confirmed, you can:

edit the bot’s short and long description on the site, in every language
pull the latest description from Telegram in one click
reply to reviews with an “Author” badge and invite your team

This bot already has a verified owner. If the bot is yours, confirm it here: management moves to you and the previous owner is notified.

Put a code into your bot’s About — the short description shown on its t.me page.

Open @BotFather → /mybots → your bot → Edit Bot → Edit About (or send /setabouttext).
Paste the code anywhere in the general About — not one set for a particular language.
About holds 120 characters: if it is full, shorten the text for a while.
Press “Check”. Once confirmed, you can remove the code.

Bot token from @BotFather

We use the token once, only to call getMe and confirm you control this bot. The token is not stored. If you like, generate a new one with /revoke in @BotFather afterwards.

Done — the bot is confirmed as yours
